Also, I wish to give much love to Thesaurus.com for being one of a writer’s best friends on the Internet. Otherwise, I might have continued to use “officious” when I meant “courteous”. Whoops. Brain dead me.

Slowly but surely I’m building a mental cast for The Preterhuman Series, should it ever appear as a movie/series. Some of my picks I’ve already stated (Jimmy Smits for Val, Rudolf Martin for Mircea).

I still have yet to cast my two main characters, but I have another of the minor ones in mind: Callum Keith Rennie for Roman Mozzati. Yes, I’m terrible. I know.

And oddly, I would love to have Catherine Bell and Zooey Deschanel in there somewhere but placing them is a little harder than the guys.

Now I just need to get my word count for the day… then I can play on getting some actually typed on Gods and Other Creatures.

Okay, it’s been since November since I last blogged. I haven’t forgotten about this blog, but I have been caught up with trying to get Amaranth finished (which it now is) and get started on Verdant, which I’m now on page 7… but I’ve only been writing a couple days ago.

I’ve set my finish date for Verdant to be March 14. After that, I’m going to take some time off from Series One and work on Series Two. In other words, I’m going to hold off on Ashes till November and start to work on the rewritten version of Gods and Other Creatures, to be followed by Monsters and Other Demons (or something like that for a title — that one is still up in the air).

Last time I blogged, I mentioned that I would love to see Jimmy Smits play Val if The Preterhuman Series is ever made into a movie/series. The other night, while my roommate and I were watching NCIS, I happened upon another of my favorite characters in the first season of the series. So, all in all, if TPS ever becomes a movie/series, I would love to see Rudolf Martin as Mircea. If I have my fangirlish way… Well, let’s just say I would be in heaven. Especially if I could just loiter around the set. Be still, my beating heart. Slowly but surely, I do seem to be building a mental cast. I have two secondary characters cast in my head, as well as a (weird) possibility for my protagonist, Lizzy: oddly, I would love to see Simone Simons portray her. Barring that, could Epica at least do the music?
